Ceramic Pottery

These ceramic pottery pieces are made from a white or red earthenware clay that fires to Cone 05 (unless otherwise noted). The glazes on these pieces also fire to Cone 05. For some of these pieces, I focused primarily on form, using the potter's wheel to create a variety of curves. For other pieces, I added carving, textures, and appendages to the thrown forms. For many of these pieces, I also worked with a variety of glaze colors, different glaze combinations, or glaze layering. In some cases, I left parts of the earthenware clay unglazed so that the red or white color and rough texture of the clay could be seen.
